Description Hikaru means light, so I made a lot of references to that in the picture. Like the thing hanging in the window is the Japanese/kanji symbol for light/the name Hikaru. The board is drawn with reference to my own chessboard. :) Outside the window, there's a Japanese building + Japanese cherry blossoms, because the man is half Japanese/Amarican. I couldn't think of anything American to put in there, though. Think the statue of liberty would be kind of confusing.
